INTEREUROPA MANUAL WIND

RELEASED IN 2019
about this collection

The Intereuropa watch takes its name from the Coppa Intereuropa race
for sporting coupes held at Monza from 1949-1964 as a support race for
the Italian Grand Prix.

Exquisite alloy-bodied berlinettas by the likes of Ferrari, Maserati, Alfa Romeo, and Lancia were campaigned by gentleman drivers at the Coppa Intereuropa. These custom built sporting berlinettas were designed to be competitive on the race track, while elegant and luxurious on the road. This dual purpose sporting elegance forms the
inspiration for this special timepiece.

A swiss made ETA 7001 manual wind movement beats beneath the multi-layered dial, featuring a K1 glass chapter ring with 3D numbering inspired by 1950s gauges.

Each watch comes with a Saffiano leather rally strap. Saffiano leather was originally patented by Prada in 1913 in order to make scratch-resistant calf leather for luggage. It finds use here as a luxurious material that will wear well in sporting context but which is equally dressy for formal use. Each leather strap is hand crafted in Italy.

The Intereuropa is delivered in a sumptuous presentation box made of lacquered wood polished to an automotive shine, and adorned with a cloisonné badge. The steering wheel shaped design is inspired by badges made in the 1950s by various racing clubs that popped up all over Italy in the car-crazy post war years. A collectible poster designed by Autodromo for the 1957 Coppa Intereuropa also comes included.

GROUP B SERIES TWO

RELEASED IN 2018. SUBSEQUENT EDITIONS
about this collection

The Group B era –which spanned from 1982-1986– was arguably the last romantic era of motorsport. It was a time of unfettered technical ingenuity, space age exotic materials and turbo-boosted horsepower. It
was also a time of gladiatorial danger for drivers and co-drivers pushed to the very limits of human endurance through unforgiving mountain
passes, desert roads, and snow covered woodland.
Autodromo’s Group B watch is an homage to the technical advancement and exotic materials finding use at the time, featuring a bi-metallic case construction. The Miyota 9015 automatic movement is housed within a lightweight 39mm titanium capsule composed of 2 parts, which is held to the wrist via an integrated bracelet crafted in stainless steel.
The Group B watch comes in a hand-crafted aluminum box with number plaque, and the integrated bracelet can be removed with a spring bar tool so that the watch can be worn with a strap if desired. The overall aesthetic of the Group B speaks to the “high-tech” design language of the early 1980s,
with a high contrast dial inspired by a period racing tachometer.

MONOPOSTO CHRONOGRAPH

LIMITED EDITION RELEASED IN 2016
about this collection

The Monoposto – literally meaning “single seat” – was created to recall a simpler era of Grand Prix racing, when the only information the driver had was contained in a few oversized dials and the seat of his pants.
In this golden age, things were a little less mathematical than
today. Since there were no rev limiters or electronic aids to keep the driver from blowing up his engine, well intentioned mechanics would commonly apply a strip of red tape, or a line of red paint on the glass
of the rev counter to make sure the driver knew his engine’s limit at a glance. Autodromo paid homage to this humble practice with our own “redline” crystal. The handmade leather strap and roller buckle were also designed to evoke the leather bonnet straps found on Grand Prix cars of
this era.

The Monoposto Chronograph was our very first Automatic Chronograph. It was produced in a Limited Edition of 500 pieces,
with 200 black dials, 200 silver dials, and 100 in Azzurro.

Each piece was individually numbered and lavishly presented in a numbered collector’s box.

GROUP B EVOLUZIONE

LIMITED EDITION RELEASED IN 2016
about this collection

The Group B Evoluzione was limited to 200 pieces, reflecting the the Group B Era’s manufacturers’ requirement to build 200 road-going examples in order to certify -- or homologate -- a car
for racing. The Group B Evoluzione is slightly larger in diameter (42MM) than the standard Group B watch, and features an integral crown guard. What makes the Evoluzione an "evolved" version of the watch is the steel chassis of the Group B is replaced with a CNC-milled Aerospace Aluminum part, shedding an additional 7
grams in weight off of the already feather-light 52 grams of the original watch.
In contrast to the hand-finished stainless steel chassis of the standard watch, the Evoluzione’s aluminum chassis is taken straight from the CNC machine, anodized and then laser engraved with its unique serial
number with no hand finishing. Thanks to precision engineering by Discommon Goods, a computer-guided tool cuts each individual part from billet aluminum. The tool paths form an intricate texture over the entire chassis to achieve an aesthetic that is both beautiful and honest to the manufacturing process.
The lightness of the Evoluzione echoes a core characteristic of Group B racecars; the reliance on the most advanced materials to develop lighter, faster automobiles. Included with this limited edition piece are four
striped nylon racing straps in team livery colors of the Group B Era, neatly arrayed in the hand-folded Aluminum Collectors box.

STRADALE AUTOMATIC

RELEASED IN 2014

about this collection

Stradale, meaning “road going” in Italian, evokes the age of Gran Turismo, when driving across
the continent involved more than hopping on an expressway.  In this storied era, each journey was a unique adventure on winding roads and narrow mountain passes, accompanied by
the sound of a mighty engine up front and a whiff of petrol and leather.

This watch draws inspiration from dashboard instruments from Italian sports cars of the late 1950s, featuring a fascinating multi-layered dial. Beneath the domed sapphire crystal, the hour indexes are applied to a transparent glass ring, which floats over the colored dial below for a 3-dimensional effect.  The custom designed leather strap makes reference to the luxurious interiors of the time.

The Autodromo Stradale is powered by a 24 jewel Japan-Made automatic movement. As with all of Autodromo watches, the Stradale arrives in beautifully conceived packaging evoking a road trip in Northern Italy circa 1960, complete with vintage-inspired map.

PROTOTIPO CHRONOGRAPH

FIRST RELEASED IN 2013. SUBSEQUENT EDITIONS
about this collection

The Prototype Era in racing was a time that saw legendary drivers
compete in equally legendary machines. Fast, colorful and dangerous, prototype cars ushered in the modern technological age of endurance
racing, and wrote the final chapter in the long tradition of open road racing in Europe. With the Prototipo Chronograph, Autodromo paid homage
to the men who raced these thunderous machines flat out through the narrow streets of the Targa Florio, the serpentine curves of the Nürburgring, and the high speed straight at Le Mans.

The Prototipo draws aesthetic inspiration from vintage racing
chronographs of the late '60s and early '70s, but with clean, modern
detailing at every turn. Powered by an innovative Seiko hybrid
meca-quartz movement, the Prototipo features a sweep second hand and instant chronograph reset thanks to internal mechanical linkages shared with Seiko's in-house automatic movements. Prototipo delivers the reliability and precision of a quartz watch, with the crisp pusher feel and visual delight of a mechanical chronograph.

MONOPOSTO AUTOMATIC

LIMITED EDITION RELEASED IN 2012

about this collection

The Monoposto automatic is our first ever mechanical watch, produced in a Limited Edition of 500 pieces, with 250 Black dials and 250 silver dials. It is powered by a Miyota 821A self-winding movement with calendar complication.
The polished stainless steel case is 43mm in diameter to give the feeling of an oversized tachometer on the wrist.
The rugged, bridle leather strap is equipped with a polished roller buckle just like the hood straps on a vintage grand prix car.
Monoposto is Italian for “single-seater,” and the watch is accordingly inspired by dashboard gauges from 1950s-era grand prix racing cars. It was common practice for racing mechanics in the 1950s to paint a red line onto the glass of the rev counter so the driver would know when to shift. The Monoposto
makes reference to this practice with a distinctive red line applied to the inside of the proprietary
40mm domed crystal.
