about this collection

The Monoposto – literally meaning “single seat” – was created to recall a simpler era of Grand Prix racing, when the only information the driver had was contained in a few oversized dials and the seat of his pants.
In this golden age, things were a little less mathematical than
today. Since there were no rev limiters or electronic aids to keep the driver from blowing up his engine, well intentioned mechanics would commonly apply a strip of red tape, or a line of red paint on the glass
of the rev counter to make sure the driver knew his engine’s limit at a glance. Autodromo paid homage to this humble practice with our own “redline” crystal. The handmade leather strap and roller buckle were also designed to evoke the leather bonnet straps found on Grand Prix cars of
this era.

The Monoposto Chronograph was our very first Automatic Chronograph. It was produced in a Limited Edition of 500 pieces,
with 200 black dials, 200 silver dials, and 100 in Azzurro.

Each piece was individually numbered and lavishly presented in a numbered collector’s box.

about this collection

The Group B era –which spanned from 1982-1986– was arguably the last romantic era of motorsport. It was a time of unfettered technical ingenuity, space age exotic materials and turbo-boosted horsepower. It
was also a time of gladiatorial danger for drivers and co-drivers pushed to the very limits of human endurance through unforgiving mountain passes, desert roads, and snow covered woodland.
Autodromo’s Group B
watch is an homage to the technical advancement and exotic materials finding use at the time, featuring a bi-metallic case construction. The Miyota 9015 automatic movement is housed within a lightweight 39mm
titanium capsule composed of 2 parts. The series one Group B featured a unique fixed lug case with single pass slip-through nylon strap.

about this collection

The Prototype Era in racing was a time that saw legendary drivers
compete in equally legendary machines. Fast, colorful and dangerous, prototype cars ushered in the modern technological age of endurance
racing, and wrote the final chapter in the long tradition of open road racing in Europe. With the Prototipo Chronograph, Autodromo paid homage
to the men who raced these thunderous machines flat out through the narrow streets of the Targa Florio, the serpentine curves of the Nürburgring, and the high speed straight at Le Mans.

The Prototipo draws aesthetic inspiration from vintage racing
chronographs of the late '60s and early '70s, but with clean, modern
detailing at every turn. Powered by an innovative Seiko hybrid
meca-quartz movement, the Prototipo features a sweep second hand and instant chronograph reset thanks to internal mechanical linkages shared with Seiko's in-house automatic movements. Prototipo delivers the reliability and precision of a quartz watch, with the crisp pusher feel and visual delight of a mechanical chronograph.

about this collection

The Monoposto was produced in a Limited Edition of 500 pieces, with 250 Black dials and 250 silver dials. Each piece is individually numbered and lavishly presented in a numbered collector's box. The Monoposto -- literally meaning "single seat" -- was created to recall a simpler era of Grand Prix racing, when the only information the driver had was contained in a few oversized dials and in the seat of his pants.

The full grain, hand crafted Italian leather strap and polished roller buckle are inspired by the hood straps that would keep the car's
bonnet in place at high speeds.
